Abstract:
This paper focuses on the 150 kW high-power electromagnetic detection system and practical cases developed by Shaanxi Geological and Geochemical Exploration Team. The key performance parameters of the system are given through comprehensive laboratory and field tests:the theoretical turnoff time is less than 20 μs, and the field-measured turn-off time is less than 1.5 ms. The time-domain waveform closely approximates standard waveform, and the frequency-domain waveform matches the standard waveform at low frequencies, with slight fluctuations (±10% of stable current) observed at high frequencies, high current conditions. Compared with the other popular electromagnetic detection systems, this system exhibits significant advantages, including a maximum output voltage of 2000 V, a maximum output current of 150 A, and dual-mode compatibility for both frequencyand time-domain electromagnetic detection. Two case studies demonstrate the reliable practicability and effectiveness of this system, thereby offering a novel geophysical exploration technology to advance the "New Phase of Mineral Exploration Breakthrough Strategic Action".
