Abstract:
The Ningshan-Raofeng area in the South Qinling Orogen constitutes a critical locus of Indosinian tectono-magmatic activity and is a major pegmatite district within the Qinling Orogenic Belt.While previous studies have highlighted the prospectivity of this area for rare metals(e.g.,Rb)exploration,key scientific issues,including the metallogenic geological setting,occurrence and spatial distribution patterns of mineralized pegmatites,their material composition and textural-structural characteristics,as well as the related metallogenic processes and mechanisms,remain poorly understood.Based on comprehensive petrographic,mineralogical,and whole-rock geochemical analyses,this study systematically revealed the metallogenic characteristics and exploration potential of pegmatite-type raremetal deposits in the Ningshan-Raofeng area.The results demonstrate that the highly differentiated and evolved Ningshan plutonic suite direct led to the formation of LCT-type(Li-Cs-Ta) pegmatites,exhibiting a unambiguous magmatic-genetic link between the two.The newly identified Be-Ta-Rb pegmatites further confirm that the outer contact zone of the Ningshan intrusion(extending 3-15 km from its margin)occupies an optimal position in the pegmatite mineralization zoning,displaying exceptional rare-metal prospectivity.Consequently,this zone should be prioritized as a key target area for future rare-metal exploration endeavors.
