Geological Characteristics of Hongliuxia Fluorspar Mine and Searching Markers in Jinta County, Gansu Province, China

    • The fluorite ore deposits in Gansu Province, specifically those in the Hongliuxia region, are situated within the broader Jinta-Ejinagi Banner fluorite ore mineralization belt. This region is characterized by a high level of tectonic and magmatic activity, which has led to the development of numerous multi-phase volcanic rocks and neutral acidic intrusive rocks. The geologic and mineralogical characterization and analysis of the Hongliuxia fluorite ore region, conducted by this study, suggests that the region's magmatic activity and the regional and its secondary fracture tectonics are the primary mineral control factors. The geological and mineral analysis of the Hongliuxia fluorite mine, conducted by this study, It is postulated that magmatic activity and the regional and secondary fracture structure are the primary factors controlling ore formation in the area. The north-north-east and north-north-west secondary torsional fracture structure within the rock body represents a crucial site for the aggregation of mineral fluids, leading to the genesis of ore. The search markers for the fluorite mine in the area were summarized and established. It was concluded that the ore deposits were formed as a result of a medium-low-temperature hydrothermal fluid (filling) type after the magmatic period. This study can serve as a reference point and provide guidance for the search for fluorite in this region.
