Abstract
The exploitation and utilization of coal resources will cause the damage of aquifer structure, leading to groundwater leakage. In the process of coal mining, the roof of the coal seam and the overlying strata will deform and produce cracks after losing support, which will damage the aquifer structure, change the groundwater storage environment, make groundwater flow downward along the cracks, and affect the groundwater level and quantity. Taking a coal mine in Yushen mining area as an example, through data collection, field investigation, and comprehensive analysis, the basic characteristics of large surface loose layer thickness, thin overlying bedrock of coal seams, shallow coal seam burial, and large mining thickness were identified. By using the method of quantitative calculation and qualitative analysis, the influence degree of underground mining on groundwater aquifer structure in this coal mine was predicted and analyzed, in order to provide reference for similar mines to implement groundwater resource protection.
