Constraints of neotectonics on eco-geological patterns in the Yulin section of the Jin-Shan-Meng Golden Triangle Area

The Yulin section of the Jin-Shaan-Inner Mongolia Golden Triangle Area is located in the key zone of the Loess Plateau,which is an important part of China’s "two screens and three belts" ecological security pattern.The neotectonic movement that has occurred since the Cenozoic Era,which is dominated by the differential uplift,is the fundamental geotectonic background and the source of driving force,and is the basic geological condition that gives rise to the ecological and geologic problems of soil erosion.The region’s unique natural geography and active neotectonic movements,combined with external forces such as wind,water,gravity,freezing and thawing,as well as man-made engineering activities such as mining,have jointly shaped and constrained the typical ecological and geomorphological landscape of the Loess Plateau.
