Causes of landslide geological disasters under heavy rainfall occurred in Lantain area

During the rainy season in 2021, continuous heavy rainfall in Lantian county triggered a wide range of geological disasters, especially landslides occurred in the hilly slope area on the edge of the tableland, which caused great damage.The reasons for the occurrence of this phenomenon include general factors, such as topographic and geomorphological conditions, rainfall, man-made excavation of the foot of slope, etc., such as the catchment drainage of village access road,special rock and soil（expansive soil） problems. Based on the field investigation and study, this paper analyzes the causes of a large number of landslide disasters in the area, and puts forward the corresponding prevention and control measures.
