Abstract
Previous surface geological investigation in this area has indicated that the the Liushuping Au-Zinc deposit in Lueyang mainly occurs in the Jiudaoguai syncline and the middle portion of the Dengying Formation is the major orebearing horizon. In order to find out the structural features of Liushuping gold-zinc deposit within 1,000m depth, especially the form of Jiudaoguai syncline and the extension of ore-bearing horizon, two-dimensional inversion of magnetotelluric sounding with 150 kW high-power controllable source audio is used for research of the distribution of strata, syncline, fault and rock mass within 1,000m deep, interpretation of the form of Jiudaoguai syncline, proposing ore prospecting direction at depth and providing a geophysical basis for the research, development and utilization of deep metallogenic theory.
