Abstract
The soil nutrient quality in the Danjiang source region of the middle route of South-to-North Water diversion Project was studied to provide the basis for crop soil testing and formula fertilization. The results indicate that the contents of available N, P and K in soil are in the middle-deficient level, the organic matter in the middle level, and the available microelement Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu abundant, while the available boron is severely deficient. Therefore, the land management should be carried out accordingly through supplement boron fertilizers in time, controlling or reducing application of iron, manganese and zinc fertilizers. The study also shows that the soil in the area is clean and the risk of heavy metal pollution is extremely low.
